An expert celebration of the music of Simon and Garfunkel takes the stage in Evesham on Friday 27th March: Sounds of Simon.
Ben Bowden as Paul Simon and Adam Ellis as Art Garfunkel will be performing the duo's hits such as Mrs Robinson, The Boxer, The Sounds of Silence and also draws extensively from Paul Simon's later solo career - songs like You Can Call Me Al and Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes. The pair play Paul and Art to perfection, bringing in elements of their famously fractious relationship as well as replicating the beautiful harmonies flawlessly. This is a show filled with excellent music, nostalgia and a genuine love for some great musicians.
Besides being a very accomplished singer & guitarist, Ben Bowden is something of an expert on Paul Simon: He's been interviewed - and has played - on BBC TV's The One Show, for a piece about Simon's time in England that inspired Homeward Bound. Live on stage, he and Adam are backed by a full band: Gareth Wynne (keyboards & backing vocals), Damon Clarridge (drums) and Tom Bull (bass).
Tickets priced at £17 (concessions £16) are on sale now from Evesham Almonry Abbey Road WR11 4BQ, 01386 446944 and the arts centre website www.EveshamArtsCentre.co.uk The music starts at 7:30pm
