Free essential first aid training
Residents are being urged to sign up for a free first aid course funded by Malvern Hills District Council.
The course will be run by members of St John Ambulance and covers how to deal with serious conditions and incidents involving people of all ages.
The next course takes place on Thursday, 3 November at Malvern Vale Community Centre and is open to anyone who lives or works in the Malvern Hills District. The session is free but donations towards St John Ambulance are welcomed on the day.
Other courses take place on:
· Monday 7 November, Council Chamber, Avenue Road, 6pm to 9pm
· Saturday 19 November, Upton Hill Centre, 10am to 1pm
· Thursday 24 November, Martley Memorial Hall, 10am to 1pm
· Thursday, 1 December, Tenbury Pump Rooms, 6pm to 9pm
Cllr David Watkins, portfolio holder for Healthier Communities on Malvern Hills District Council, said: "We are thrilled to be able to offer these vital first aid courses from St John Ambulance for free. Having that essential training could be the difference between a lift lost and a life saved.
"The previous programme of first aid courses we held was really popular, so please be quick and register.”
