Get your entries ready for the Fun Dog Show later this month

Do you own a top dog? Entries are now open for the Fun Dog Show later this month at Webbs.

The show, in association with on-site vets MacArthur Barstow & Gibbs, will be held on Saturday 25th June at Webbs Garden Centre, Wychbold, as part of a special Love Your Pet Day.

A range of categories are available to enter including Junior Handler, Prettiest Bitch, Most Handsome Dog, Best Puppy (under 12 months old), Waggiest Tail, Best Rescue, Prettiest Eyes and Best Veteran (over 8 years old). The winner of each category will be entered into judging for the prestigious Best in Show class.  

A £50 Webbs voucher to spend in the stores’ brand new Pets and Aquatics department will be awarded for the overall winner of Best in Show, plus a £25 voucher for every owner who achieves first place in the eight additional categories.

Entry is just £2 per class, with money raised donated to Danemere Animal Rescue and Bishops Wood Swan Rescue. Classes begin at 11am and will take place approximately every 30 minutes until 3:30pm.
Webbs Chairman Ed Webb said, “We are a nation of pet lovers and we want to celebrate that with our Love Your Pet Day. The dog show will be great fun and we are looking to see pets of all shapes and sizes taking part.”
In addition to the show there will be a variety of activities including Trevor Hill’s Animal Roadshow, offering a chance for children to get up close with exotic animals, reptiles and insects. There will also be a chance to ride miniature ponies and meet local lurcher and greyhound charities, along with face painting and storytelling.
