Free family Footsteps programme launched

Follow your footsteps and walk a mile with your child for free with new family walk programme.

Footsteps is a new initiative organised by Malvern Hills District Council in partnership with Upton upon Severn Primary School and Riverboat’s Children Centre.

The programme starts on Monday 6 November, meeting at Riverboat’s Children’s Centre, Upton upon Severn at 1.30pm.

Footsteps is a gentle stroll around Upton upon Severn school field for parents and children aged 4 years and under. Its aim is to improve fitness and give the opportunity to meet and socialise with other parents.

Cllr David Watkins, portfolio holder for healthier communities on Malvern Hills District Council, said: “This new programme is a great way for parents and young children to keep active in a welcoming and friendly environment, whilst also getting out and about in the fresh air. We look forward to seeing lots of families getting involved”.

No booking is necessary and free refreshments will be provided.
