Droitwich Lido voted most family friendly

Shortly after its doors opened for the summer season, Droitwich’s Lido has been acknowledged as the most family friendly lido by Waitrose magazine.

Both Wychavon and Wychavon Leisure couldn’t agree more as Droitwich Spa Lido is perfect for the entire family, boasting a wet play area with fountains and water cannons as well as the brand new Hetty’s Café.

Cllr. Gerry, O’Donnell, Portfolio holder for Community development, culture and sport said “Droitwich Spa’s Lido is a key part of our heritage, fantastic local facility and tourist attraction. He continued “There is ample evidence that enjoying outdoor activities is beneficial to the health and wellbeing of communities, and in particular children. Droitwich Spa Lido presents a perfect environment for families to enjoy these health benefits.”

The pool is open daily with family sessions from 12.30pm – 7.00pm weekdays and as from 14 July we will open the gates from 10am. The weekend family sessions run from 10am – 6pm throughout the season.

For those early birds who want to avoid the crowds, an early morning swim session runs daily. Check out the great value season tickets which can be used in all public sessions, including the early bird swims which now run every weekday 6:30am – 9am and 7:30am – 9:00am on weekends.

Everybody can make the most the sunshine and enjoy a dip in the heated pool.
