Priest donates respirator to a younger person he did not even know.....

In the light of all the doom and gloom, all the panic buying and selfish, self centred behaviour comes a true uplifting story from Italy.

From the centre of one if the worst infected towns in the world comes new believe in humankind.

Friar Don Giuseppe Berardelli, 72, was the priest for the parish of Casnigo, a small village jnear Milan.He died in hospital in Lovere, Bergamo, one of the worst-hit areas in Italy.

Sources say he refused to use a respirator parishioners had purchased for him, instead giving it to a younger patient.

Don Giuseppe was a priest who loved smiles and motorcycles. When he got infected, he let someone else use his respiratory unit. He died of #COVIDー19.

In an obituary on Araberara, an Italian news website, one healthcare worker said: "He was a priest who listened to everyone, he knew how to listen, whoever turned to him knew that he could count on his help."
