Free Live music as Record Store day comes to Worcester
Record Store Day is the one day of the year when over 200 independent record shops all across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture. Special vinyl releases are made exclusively for the day and many shops and cities, including Worcester, host artist performances and events to mark the occasion.
Rise Worcester will be hosting Record Store Day again this year and it promises to be bigger than ever. With around ten live acts and around 500 limited edition records available it is a day for all music lovers. The bill so far will include Jim Lockey (solo), The Broken Oak Duet, Boat To Row, Slow Falling Sun, Andy Oliveri and The Mountaineers, Institutes, Rosebud, Nth Cave with more to be released soon.
Stores are bound by the Record Store Day code of conduct which prohibits them reserving product for customers or allowing customers to pre order product. Record Store Day is about the occasion and visiting the store is part of the enjoyment so our best advice is get up early and check with Rise Worcester in advance that they have your product.
