Evesham Arts Centre is staging a theatre open day for possible new volunteers on Sunday 1st September.

The town's venue is well known for hosting everything from big-name comedy to ballet, pantomime to tribute bands - and it's all run by volunteers!  The organisers are looking for help in all sorts of roles including staffing the bar and the coffee shop during performances, ushering, manning the box office, setting up the theatre & foyer, publicity and brochure distribution to name but a few.

"If you've ever wanted to help run a theatre" said organiser Peter Costello "we'd like to hear from you!"

To give possible volunteers a chance to find out more, Evesham Arts Association has arranged an open day from 11am - 4pm Sunday 1st September - and anyone interested is invited to come along & check it out.  Visitors will be able to take a tour of the theatre, chat to existing volunteers & even have a go at some of the roles. During the day there will also be some live performances to show the theatre in action.

"We've roles for anyone with interest, enthusiasm or experience" added organiser Neal Cartwright. "Volunteers choose how much time to put in and we provide training. It's a great opportunity do something different & worthwhile, to meet people, or to add something extra to your CV."

"Anyone who'd like to get involved but can't be there on 1st September can leave a message via our website or on 01386 48883" said Peter Costello.

Evesham Arts Centre is next to Prince Henry's High school at the end of Victoria Avenue WR11 4QH.
